Happy Holidays

WOW, what a holiday! We were fortunate to spend Christmas in San Jose and see family. This Christmas was not one for the weak.
On the flight over we had 3 connecting flights; one missed, one overnight er in Arizona and the finale of Haley spreading her joy (vomit)to all on the last leg of our 1st night! I'd call that a total success.
We were greeted by Les, Pat and the Great Grandparents, the kids were thrilled. One slight mishap with the rental car but the 5th car later we were on the road. Uncle Brian has been re-named Mr. Kewl, a well deserved name! He introduced us to these fun little drinks that are called "Bubble Teas".

Slowly crawling out from under my rock....

It's 6:30 in the morning, coffee brewing in the background, Gwen playing (the new album is EXCELLENT!) and I have finally made the time to get caught up.
Let me get back to the album; if your at the gym and all the surrounding distractions slowly disappear, the beat gets a little louder and the RPM goes a little faster, you know your onto something good, now just close your eyes and ride... I think I just gave myself goosebumps at the thought .
We had a wonderful Thanksgiving with our neighbors across the street, Kristen and Anthony, it was pleasantly quite. I relish those rare moments.
Anthony left a week later to Iraq and Kristen has been keeping busy with friendly reminders of "getting our holiday butts to the gym!" (I needed this)
I have been neglecting myself and haven't been to the gym in weeks. When I finally did go (last night) the entire schedule of classes has been changed and I felt so left out, I wont let this happen again! (trying to self motivate for tonight)
The last couple of weeks were very rough around here. Haley had come down with a stomach flu. Vomiting for 2 days, took a flu hiatus for a day and resumed for the next 2. It only took an ounce of fluid for her to be hunkered over the trash can or bolting to the bathroom. Chris finally took her to the emergency room for the standard 6 hour wait and IV. Monday came along and I took Haley to the doc for a follow up and report on the labs, while at the clinic I decided to make everyone get the flu shot (I'm not sure if I will ever do this again). I went to bed feeling a little fuzzy and woke with all the symptoms of the flu, woke the next day feeling 80%. I was torn, I didn't know if I should be happy with the mild version of what could be or mad because it was self inflicted, jury is still out on that one.
We just rolled in from our vacation and I noticed that I didnt post the last blog, so here it is....
